General Contractors
General Contractors, those contractors who bid and manage a project from start to completion, have needs that vary based upon the size of their company and the job. ComputerEase construction mangement software understands these needs. Are you building a large scale development? Is your job on a clean or a brownfield site? Is new infrastructure needed like sewers, roads/streets, utilities, etc.? Is it a mixed use job (residential and commercial, office and manufacturing, or some other combination)? Or are you working on a smaller scale, subbing out only those portions requiring specialized trades?
Even if your company has in-house specialty departments (like electrical, mechanical and plumbing) you may still need to subcontract out some of the work. Use the Bid Management tool to estimate the job, invite vendors to bid, track bids received from subs, determine the best bids/subcontractors for the job, issue subcontractor agreements and more.
Use ComputerEase's scheduling tools to keep track of the job and make sure the job is progressing on time and on budget. Should a revision in the schedule be needed, simply make the revision and ComputerEase automatically adjusts other corresponding or dependent activities to the revision.
Using a large number of subcontractors (or only a few) can add greatly to your accounting workload. The Subcontractor Center helps make tracking payments, wage rates, change orders, retainage and more simple with ComputerEase.
ComputerEase cannot guarantee that a general contractor's job will be easy, but it can help take care of much of the paperwork and simplify project management.
